About me

Warm welcome!

My name is Lysianne. I was born and spent a good part of my life in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  I studied at the University of Montreal in Business management and real estate. Growing up in the vibrant city of Montreal, I always felt a sense of curiosity and ambition stirring within me. From a young age, I was drawn to the dynamic energy of urban life and the diverse tapestry of cultures that surrounded me. As I navigated through the bustling streets of my hometown, I knew that I was destined for something extraordinary. After graduating, my energizing and outgoing character lead to my selection as a lead character in a well-known real estate docu-reality show in 2011 named "Nouveau sur le marché".  Following the success of the show, I was ranked in the Top 100 most performing realtor during my tenure.

In 2015, my journey took an unexpected turn as my family and I embarked on a new adventure to the sunny shores of La Jolla, California. Leaving behind the familiar sights and sounds of Montreal, we set our sights on the golden coast of the Pacific, eager to explore new horizons and chase our dreams. Joining Willis Allen Real Estate in La Jolla was a pivotal moment in my career journey. As I immersed myself in the world of coastal luxury properties, I discovered a profound passion for managing real estate and the power it holds to shape communities and transform lives. With each transaction, I found fulfillment in helping my clients achieve their dreams of coastal living.

As my career flourished, so too did my family. Welcoming my children into the world in 2015 and 2017 brought a new dimension to my life, filled with boundless love and joy. Balancing the demands of motherhood with the rigors of a fast-paced career was no easy feat, but with determination and resilience, I embraced the challenge with open arms.

Amidst the turbulence of 2020, amidst the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, my family and I found ourselves swept by the winds of change to the historic city of Boston. It was here, in the heart of this vibrant city, that I embarked on a new chapter in my professional journey.

During the pandemic's uncertainty, I felt a deep calling to become a diabetes coach. Having grappled with the challenges of managing diabetes firsthand, I intimately understood the hurdles and complexities faced by individuals navigating this condition. Motivated by my own journey, I felt compelled to extend a hand of support and guidance to others on a similar path.

As life steered me in new directions, I found myself drawn to the intersection of innovation and impact. Joining an oncology research company as an EHS & Facility Manager / Executive Assistant, I discovered a profound opportunity to drive initiatives that prioritize safety, compliance, and environmental consciousness. In this role, I am not just a participant but a catalyst for positive change, shaping the landscape of healthcare with every decision and action.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am deeply committed to raising awareness about diabetes and supporting those affected by this chronic condition. Through volunteer work with organizations like the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, I strive to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families impacted by diabetes, fostering hope and resilience in the face of adversity.

As I reflect on the twists and turns of my journey from coast to coast, I am filled with gratitude for the experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. From the bustling streets of Montreal to the sun-drenched shores of La Jolla and the historic landmarks of Boston, each chapter has brought its own lessons and blessings, guiding me towards a life filled with purpose and passion. As the journey continues, I look forward to embracing new adventures and making a meaningful impact wherever life may lead me.

On a personal note

I've embarked on a journey to document and share my everyday discoveries and experiences as both a devoted mother and a passionate life science worker. Through my blog, I aim to offer glimpses into the unique intersection of these two worlds, providing insights into the challenges and joys of balancing parenthood with a career in the life sciences industry. Additionally, I'm excited to share my personal passions and interests, ranging from fitness and health to literature and culinary adventures.
